Job applications are often your first interaction with a prospective employer. Therefore, it is extremely important that you put your very best foot forward at this stage. However, writing – and boasting – about yourself can be extremely difficult. If you’re feeling a bit lost or stuck, or maybe that your application is just a little flat, I can help. I can review your Curriculum Vitae (CV), Statement of Ability and/or Cover Letter to ensure that they are clear, complete, concise and strong.
My services can be tailored to suit your needs: from discussing your experience and motivation relevant to the new opportunity and helping you to draft the initial text – to providing reviews and strategic advice on how you have addressed the selection criteria based on the position description and company history. Finally, I’ll proofread everything one last time before sending it over to you.
Award Applications
Award can really elevate your profile and attract significant interest and repute. But, like writing job applications, award applications require a lot of impactfully worded writing; and it’s all about you! This can be extremely difficult. Award applications come in all different formats, lengths and complexities, and can require a great deal of background research and time. I can help to populate the simple questions, as well as draft more detailed application-specific responses based on your CV or other existing documents, saving you time, effort and the pain of having to try to write about yourself.
